We need to dispense with the philosophical nonsense of "rugged individualism" spread by capitalist propaganda that claims we all need to be independent from each other and need no one else or any help from either the system or each other. *All* workers need help and rely on the programs and infrastructure currently controlled by capitalists and the bureaucrats who operate the system on their behalf. We need to accept this interconnectedness of need and benefit and realize this is how the capitalists help each other. We the workers need to take control of this apparatus ourselves and run it for the benefit of everyone, not the profit interests of the few.

You are very correct. That is the reason the Dems in particular push identity politics in the absence of actual material benefits to the working class, and why identity politics the Regressive Left is so fond of comes from the top of the capitalist heap: huge money management capitalist firms like BlackRock and Vanguard. These "social issues" get workers pissed off at each other instead of at the system, and push us towards a "solution" where we are contented with seeing more people who look like us joining the capitalist class and behaving like typical capitalists than uniting the working class against the system that is crushing us.
